Genesis Opens Their Very Own Store

Yes, you heard that right! Genesis has officially opened their very own storefront. No need to go to a Hyundai dealership anymore for Genesis vehicles, because they've got their own location now! The new Genesis standalone dealership is located in Lafayette, Louisiana. It is owned and operated by dealer principal Arthur C. LeBlanc Jr. and Sterling Automotive Group. There are plans to open many more over the next few years and the next location is set for Cherry Hill, New Jersey by the end of this year. We will also be opening our own Genesis storefront up Tulsa, Oklahoma, so keep your eye out for that! This is just the beginning for Genesis!

Lets Backup 

Let me give you a little bit of background information on the brand Genesis. Just like any other successful business, they started small and slowly built their credibility and name. It all started in 2004 when Hyundai first introduced Genesis as one of their luxury car models. This model helped lead the brand into the luxury market, really standing out to consumers. The model did so well that by 2015, the company decided to set apart Genesis as its own luxury brand and then arrived in the U.S. the next year (2016). It took time to get to this point, but it was well worth it. Designers and directors of other car companies like Lamborghini, Bentley, Audi, and BMW, oversaw and helped create the Genesis brand. With unique characteristics like Genesis headlights, grills, etc. they are unmistakable! 

What is so special about Genesis Cars? 

Genesis has really taken off and has caught the attention of many. But what's so special about them? What makes them different? Genesis was known for its exterior designs. Their exteriors have always been very clean and futuristic-like. They have always been known for their technologically advanced interior as well. 

    Genesis took off with its first model - the G80 in 2004. This model was then followed by the G90 and the G70. These first models won many awards including the North American Car of the year in 2019, and Car of the Year in 2009. The Genesis G80 specifically, was a finalist in 2021 as well. They later introduced their SUV models as the GV80 and the GV70 which were named finalists for the utility of the year in 2021 and in 2022. It seems like they just keep getting better and better. They are already preparing future car models including a GV60 model which is a small, battery-electric crossover. They plan on releasing this model sometime later this year. 

First Location Sets the Standard

The standards are set high when it comes to this first Genesis location. Everyone is expectant to see their design and eager to check it out for themselves. Genesis wants to make a lasting impression with their first storefront, so they have designed it in a very unique and aesthetically pleasing way. Their store has a transparent and open floor plan, which creates a beautiful layout and open/bright atmosphere. They have also included an indoor vehicle delivery area, infrastructure to support future electronified Genesis models, as well as a showroom of award winning vehicles that all clients are welcome in. With all of these features included, the store feels like a very modern, clean, futuristic store. This perfectly compliments their vehicle model designs. In an interview, the chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, Claudia Marquez, said, "We are glad to partner with Arthur LeBlanc and Sterling Automotive Group on our first standalone retail facility in the United States. I want to extend my thanks to the entire Sterling Automotive Group for creating a space beautifully designed and so befitting of our remarkable products."
