Engine

You can opt for the 2024 GV70 with either a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The four-cylinder, serving as the entry-level option, delivers 300 horsepower, while the V-6 packs a punch with 375 horsepower. Unlike the 2024 G70 sedan that offers a manual transmission with the turbo four, the 2024 GV70 comes standard with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Its initial test drive highlighted noticeable athleticism, especially in the Sport Plus driving mode, and the twin-turbo V-6 exhibited robust performance. 

Top Speeds

In its long-term test of the V-6 GV70, it accelerated to 60 mph in just 5.0 seconds at the 40,000-mile mark. The turbo four also proved impressively quick, achieving a 5.6-second result in the same test.

MPG

According to the EPA, the turbocharged four-cylinder engine makes the GV70 its most fuel-efficient model, achieving ratings of 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. In comparison, the twin-turbo V-6 model obtains ratings of 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. During Car and Driver's 75-mph highway fuel-economy test, the 2.5T model lived up to expectations, reaching 28 mpg, while the 3.5T exceeded predictions with an impressive 26 mpg result.

Interior

The 2024 GV70 takes a bolder approach to cabin design compared to its larger GV80 sibling. It seamlessly integrates the sweeping lines from the exterior for a cohesive aesthetic. Inside, premium materials enhance the atmosphere, and the luxurious knurled glass shift knob adds a tactile element. While the 2024 GV70 addresses the G70 sedan's cramped rear seat with increased space and additional legroom, it might still fall short of being roomy for some backseat drivers.
